We're looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our friendly team at our well-established 65-place nursery in Brentwood, proudly rated Good by Ofsted.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting others to thrive, and making a real difference to children's early learning experiences.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the nursery while helping to maintain the warm, caring environment we're known for.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the Nursery Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
  • Leading, motivating and inspiring a dedicated team of Early Years professionals.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of care, learning and safeguarding are maintained.
  • Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to help them develop and succeed.
  • Maintaining compliance with Ofsted and statutory requirements.
  • Taking responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence.

What we're looking for

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Previous leadership experience as a Deputy Manager, Third in Charge or Senior Room Leader.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and supportive approach.
  • Someone who genuinely loves working with children and developing great teams.
