At Naturally Learning, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Pedagogical Lead to join our nurturing team. This unique role combines educational leadership with SENCo responsibilities, ensuring every child receives the support, care, and opportunities they need to thrive.

 

As our Pedagogical Lead, you will:

  • Lead learning, care, and pedagogy across the nursery
  • Inspire and support colleagues to deliver exceptional early years practice
  • Ensure continuity, consistency, and excellence in daily provision
  • Be a positive role model for children, families, and staff
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with families, colleagues, and external professionals
  • Follow and implement the SEND Code of Practice
  • Lead and coordinate support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Maintain effective communication and partnerships with outside agencies and professionals
  • Be responsible for SENCo-related administration, documentation, and record-keeping
  • Monitor children's progress and help ensure every child reaches their full potential
  • Support the creation of a positive, reflective, and high-performing team culture
  • Stay organised, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Champion Naturally Learning's values with families, visitors, and the wider community
  • Uphold nursery policies, safeguarding procedures, and best practice at all times
  • Maintain an up-to-date DBS certificate
  • Speak up—whether celebrating great practice or raising concerns when needed

 

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 minimum)
  • Previous experience working within Early Years education
  • Knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience supporting children with SEND
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and continuous improvement
