Nursery Cleaner/Housekeeper Our nursery is a beautiful lnew purpose nursery building and has extensive gardens for the children to explore. We are very proud to be rated 5 by environmental health  We are looking for a nursery cleaner to work alongside our busy childcare team, the role would include general cleaning in a variety of rooms including bathrooms ensuring exceptionally high quality clean spaces for our children to use. This position is for 20  hours per week across 5 days. Ideally you will have previous cleaning experience and experience in cleaning a childcare setting would be beneficial but not essential. Role To ensure the nursery environment remains clean, hygienic, organised and safe at all times, supporting staff and children with daily routines and contributing to the effective running of the setting. Key Responsibilities - Clean and sanitise nursery rooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas and equipment. - Maintain hygiene standards throughout the day, following cleaning schedules. - Support with food preparation, serving meals and cleaning after mealtimes. - Manage laundry duties, including bedding, cloths. - Assist staff in the rooms when required. - Follow all health & safety and safeguarding procedures. - Ensure safe disposal of waste and maintain a tidy environment. Requirements - Experience in housekeeping or cleaning. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow routines. - Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to support the team. - Enhanced DBS required. - Right to work in the UK.
