  • Senior Nursery Practitioner - £14.60 per hour
  • Level 3 Nursery Practitioner - £14.10 per hour

Your Role

You'll play a key part in providing exceptional care, learning and development opportunities for children aged 0-5 years.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality childcare and early education.
  • Supporting children's learning through engaging, play-based experiences.
  • Building trusted relationships with families and carers.
  • Acting as a Key Person and maintaining children's learning records.
  • Monitoring development and supporting individual learning journeys.
  • Promoting children's wellbeing, safety and inclusion.
  • Contributing to a positive, welcoming nursery environment.
  • Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.

Additional Duties for Senior Practitioners

In addition to the responsibilities above, Senior Nursery Practitioners will:

  • Support leadership within the room environment.
  • Mentor and guide team members, apprentices and students.
  • Help maintain high standards of practice and compliance.
  • Contribute to coaching, quality improvement and team development.
  • Gain valuable experience in preparation for future leadership opportunities.

What You'll Need

Essential Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Experience working within a nursery, preschool or Early Years environment.
  • Sound understanding of the EYFS Framework.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, proactive approach to supporting children's development.

Desirable Experience

  • Working with babies and children under three years old.
  • Baby Room, Pre-Toddler or Toddler Room experience.
  • Supporting colleagues or mentoring staff.
  • SEND knowledge and experience.
  • Participation in Ofsted inspections.
  • Relevant training such as Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding or Food Hygiene.
