Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Carmela Coady Childcare

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Carmela Coady Childcare, Bournemouth.

Requirements;

• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Carmela Coady Childcare have evolved from a childminding setting into a small nursery in the heart of Boscombe and we are keen to ensure we stay true to our roots and maintain our flexibility and home from home feel.

For this reason, we allow for flexible booking patterns but maintain core staff working patterns to ensure consistency. We also continue to mix across the age groups, especially at mealtimes where we feel that the babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers can all socialise and learn from each other, making it an ideal setting for siblings.

Our passionate, enthusiastic and qualified team plan responsively, in the moment, keeping the children's unique interests at the heart of everything they do, expanding their play experiences and uplifting them to reach their full potential in all developmental areas.

There are great transport links to and from the setting.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years.
• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and provide engaging, age-appropriate activities based on children's individual needs and interests.
• Observe, assess and record children's progress and development.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues.
• Promote children's independence, confidence, communication and social skills.
• Support children's personal care needs, including toileting, nappy changing, meals and sleep routines.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children, following nursery safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness within the nursery.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support children's emotional wellbeing.
• Work effectively as part of the nursery team and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records and attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Hours;

• Carmela Coady Childcare is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 30+ hours per week
