WMC Training is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join the professional, rewarding, and supportive team at Belvedere (DA17).

This Level 5 Early Years Lead Apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to develop into a Room Leader while working in a professional early year setting. You will gain hands‑on leadership experience, support day‑to‑day nursery operations, and help deliver high‑quality care and education for children. 

DUTIES

1. Support educators and practitioners to deliver a high standard of care, education and curriculum, including meeting SEN requirements.
2. Ensure regulatory, safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
3. Support and develop nursery staff, including contributing to their professional development.
4. Build strong relationships with children, parents/carers and external agencies.
5. Work closely with children aged 0–5, supporting their daily care, wellbeing and development.
6. Plan and support age-appropriate activities and play opportunities based on children’s individual needs.
7. Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development.
8. Create a safe, inclusive and enabling learning environment.
9. Work collaboratively to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
10. Work towards an early years qualification, engaging with training, meetings and support from the setting and training provider.
11. Follow all setting policies and procedures and contribute to team meetings.
12. Liaise with statutory and voluntary external agencies where appropriate.
13. Assist the Setting Manager with staffing, budgets and financial targets where required.
14. Undertake any other reasonable duties required by the Setting Manager.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Must have prior nursery experience
Willing to learn a qualification
Ability to write clear objective observation
Commitment to complete a childcare qualification
