Progression of Responsibility
As the apprentice develops their knowledge, confidence and competence, they will gradually take on greater responsibility within the nursery. This may include becoming Key Person for additional children, contributing more independently to planning and observations, supporting other children within the room and taking a more active role in the day-to-day running of the setting.
The apprentice will always work within their level of competence and will receive appropriate supervision, training and support throughout their apprenticeship.
