Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – The Little Blue Door

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at The Little Blue Door, Chichester.

Requirements;

  • A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential 
  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

You will be working in the under 2’s room and cover the following training schedule

  • Working towards having your own key children
  • Ensure children's care needs are met
  • To follow our policies and procedures
  • Work in partnership with parents
  • To be proactive about your own professional development
  • Work as part of a team

Main purpose of role:

To be a proactive member of a team who provides a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which babies and young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

You will be responsible and will work to ensure their individual needs are met, they are safe, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

To be successful, you will have a natural affinity with children, be warm, engaging and enthusiastic to make them feel at home. You will also have good communication skills, be reliable, self-motivated and professional. You will ideally have a good understanding of the very best of Early Year’s principles and how to successfully and creatively apply them to provide the very best standard of care. Comprehensive on the job training and support for development is provided.

Hours;

  • The Little Blue Door is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 42 hours per week - Shift patterns to be discussed
