Job Description

Due to a significant increase in the number of children, we have an exciting opportunity for two experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate Early Years Practitioners to join our group. If you have experience working with children from birth to four years and hold a level 3 qualification in childcare, we encourage you to apply and become a part of our team today, as there is exceptional potential for career advancement.

The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in early years education and a genuine passion for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. The Early Years Practitioner will play a crucial role in supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development, as well as their communication and language skills, and physical development through engaging activities and effective communication.

We are looking for professional Early Years Practitioners who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and strive to develop the key children in their care.

Responsibilities


  • Plan and implement age and stage-appropriate activities to promote children's learning and development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development using our nursery software.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
  • Be a team player, collaborating with other team members and sharing their experiences and ideas openly.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods.
  • Lead group activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and social interaction among children.
  • Support children in developing their independence and self-care skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.

     

Experience


  • A level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent is essential. (Please note that a Level 3 in Health and Social Care does not meet this criterion.)
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong motivational skills with the ability to brighten and inspire the children's day.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
  • A proactive approach with the drive to create engaging learning experiences for young children.
