Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Tiny Oaks Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Tiny Oaks Day Nursery, Edenbridge.

Requirements;

  • A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential 
  • 12 months experience in a nursery setting
  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Here at Tiny Oaks our rooms have been designed and structured to offer a safe and secure environment for little one's to develop and learn through play. The nursery provides facilities for children aged from 3 months through to pre-school age and is registered as GOOD with Ofsted.

We have dedicated rooms for our various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage. All of our facilities are designed to be accessible to every child

Daily menus are carefully selected by a professional nutritionist to meet energy requirements of growing children.

Pre School children also follow the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’. We support them and prepare them for their eventual move from day nursery to school. This is a more settled routine, with children working in small groups.

Through our observations of children learning through play, we are able to introduce adult led activities that follow the interest of individual children, linking them to the seven areas of learning:

⦁ communication and language, physical development, personal social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding of the world, expressive arts and design.

The children have open access to the garden every day (free flow) from their room and complete a lot of their daily activities outside through choice. The garden also reflect the areas of learning and allows problem solving on a grander scale.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.

  • Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Display a caring and nurturing attitude towards the children in your care

  • Act as designated key person for an allocated number of children.

  • To observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.

  • Develop positive partnership with parents.

Hours;

  • Tiny Oaks Day Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week over 4 days
