Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Lemon Tree Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Lemon Tree Day Nursery, Cosham.

Requirements;

• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Lemon Tree Day Nursery has a garden area and 5 rooms that are free flow. You will be caring for children from birth and 5 years.

Transport links to and from the nursery are good.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Setting up the rooms in morning, planning and preparing the day’s activities, and assisting in creating a stimulating environment.
• Will be tidying away at the end of every day and overseeing general housekeeping duties.
• Undertaking all aspects of personal care, including nappy changing, toileting and assist with feeding.
• Attending monthly staff meetings and undertaking ongoing training.
• You will learn the role of a practitioner with guidance. Once ready, will be allocated a small key group of children.
• You will ensure nursery and safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times, and that children are well cared for, nurtured and kept safe.
• We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative person to join our team, you will need to show a willingness to learn and be able to work alongside our SENCO and other colleagues.

Hours;

• Lemon Tree Day Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week - shift patterns to be discussed
