Apprentice Early Years Practitioner

Flying Start Nurseries need an Apprentice Early Years Educator!

We are looking to take on an Apprentice who can work in our busy nursery setting with our little ones, joining a team who are super passionate about outdoor learning and inspiring our children.

Level 3 courses available for an immediate start.

You need to be:

• Reliable and enthusiastic with high levels of motivation
• Organised
• Display good communication skills, with other adults and most importantly with children!
• Ability to work well within a team
• Passionate to work with children in the Early Years
• Caring and kind

You need to have:

• A basic level of education to include, GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (A-C) or above - If you do not have one of these, we may be able to offer functional skills training, so please do still apply
• Good communication skills
• Basic IT skills

Your core job will be:

• To support the delivery of an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
• To understand and work to all nursery policies and procedures and statutory guidance, to help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
• To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times for the children

We will support you by: 

• Providing a laptop for you to complete your work on
• Giving you designated paid time each week (20% of your contracted hours) to support the completion of your training
• Ensuring you have an Assessor who you have a strong relationship with to enable you to progress
• Guiding and teaching you how to be an Early Years Educator!
• Moving you from an apprentice wage to living wage for your age when 25% complete on your qualification! This can be within 3-4 months!
