Nursery Assistant

Full-time and Part-time opportunities available
šŸ“ Hedgerows Nursery - Netherfield

We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join our dedicated team at Hedgerows Nursery. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and supporting high-quality early years care in a nurturing, child‑centred environment.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Flecible on 5 days Mon-Fri or 4 days (10 hour shift)

About Hedgerows

Acorn at Hedgerows is a 43 place day nursery in Netherfield, Milton Keynes. Attached to the Hedgerows family centre, the nursery transferred to us from Milton Keynes Council and offers fully-funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

The nursery offers full and part-time care for children aged four months to four years, and is open 7:30am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. All Acorn nurseries are closed for all bank holidays, between Christmas and new year, plus our four training days each year. This means the monthly fees are calculated over 49 weeks. You will not be charged for these days, however fees are payable for additional closure days which are out of our control, eg: additional bank holidays over the standard eight. Funded childcare options are available.

Acorn was recently awarded the ā€˜Top 20 Recommended Nursery Group 2025’ by Day Nurseries, recognising consistently high customer reviews. With over 35 years’ experience, Acorn is a leading not‑for‑profit childcare provider across Milton Keynes, Northampton and Bedford, specialising in nature pedagogy and professional development.
