Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Little Petals Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Little Petals Day Nursery, Sonning Common.

We opened our doors for the first time in March 2025, our newly opened setting in the beautiful village of Sonning Common cares for children from as young as 3 months to preschoolers (3 months – 5yrs). We are open all year round from 7.30 am till 6.00 pm.

We understand that your child is the most important creation to you and therefore we aim to deliver the best possible care and play experiences for your child. With a view to maintain the important routines you've worked so hard to achieve and working closely with parents, carers and those involved in the child's home life.

We have 2 rooms over 2 floors, babies upstairs and over 2’s are upstairs.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Support the day-to-day care and supervision of children in the setting
• Assist in planning and delivering activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Help monitor children’s development and contribute to observations
• Work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing through play
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, toileting, and rest times
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive practice
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment

Requirements;

• Some experience in a nursery setting would be desirable
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Hours;

• Little Petals Day Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week
