Senior Nursery Practitioner – Level 3 Early Years
Location: Shooting Stars Nursery, Wolverhampton, WV3 9DU
Salary: £14.60 per hour
Hours: Full‑time | 40 hours per week
Shooting Stars Wolverhampton is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly Early Years team. Working closely with the Room Leader, this is a great opportunity if you’re ready to develop leadership skills, support others and take the next step in your Early Years career.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Room Leader in delivering outstanding Early Years provision
- Act as a Key Person, building trusted relationships with children and families
- Lead and support planning and delivery of engaging EYFS activities
- Mentor and guide team members, students and apprentices
- Maintain accurate observations, records and learning journeys
- Promote a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
- Contribute to Ofsted requirements and continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with external professionals to support SEND needs
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for an experienced, committed early years professional who is:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (full & relevant)
- Experience in a children’s day nursery
- Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child protection
- Confident in supporting children with SEND
- Ability to lead, motivate and support others
- Passionate about delivering exceptional, child‑centred care
