Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – The Little Blue Door Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at The Little Blue Door Nursery, Westhampnett.

Outdoor play and learning are a core part of life at the setting.

5000 sq ft of carefully designed spaces for your children to learn through play. With 4 unique indoor and 1 unique outdoor spaces and an over-arching mission to develop little minds, our highly qualified team are united around our core values to create lasting memories for our children each and every day.

At Little Blue Door, all of our food is healthy and nutritious and made freshly on-site every day by our chef who is passionate about cooking a nutritional and well-balanced menu.
We believe that meal times and children’s cooking represent a wonderful opportunity to learn; buying locally or even getting involved as little sous chefs, we always involve our children where we can.

We care for Children between the Ages 3 months to 5 years

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

You will be learning the role of a nursery practitioner and cover the following training schedule

  • Working towards having your own key children
  • Ensure children's care needs are met
  • To follow our policies and procedures
  • Work in partnership with parents
  • To be proactive about your own professional development

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated apprentice practitioner who has some experience of working with children in a nursery setting

As a valued team member, you will continue to promote our vision of 'developing little minds' and provide all children with the love, care and support required in a nurturing environment. You will need to promote high quality care in a stimulating rich learning environment which offers wonderful opportunities for all children.

Main purpose of role:

  • To be a proactive member of a team who provides a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which babies and young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
  • You will be responsible and will work to ensure their individual needs are met, they are safe, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
  • To be successful, you will have a natural affinity with children, be warm, engaging and enthusiastic to make them feel at home. You will also have good communication skills, be reliable, self-motivated and professional. You will ideally have a good understanding of the very best of Early Year’s principles and how to successfully and creatively apply them to provide the very best standard of care. Comprehensive on the job training and support for development is provided.

Requirements;

  • A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential for the Level 3 Apprenticeship. Unqualified candidates will be placed on a level 2 Apprenticeship
  • Experience in a similar role
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent 

Hours;

 

  • Little Blue Door is open from 7:15am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 42 hours per week
