Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Toad Hall Nursery, Wokingham.

We are a unique, privately owned children’s day nursery and holiday club, first opened in January 1995. Originally established as a sole trader, we became a limited company in 2007 and continue to operate as a family-run business, now alongside the owner’s three children.

Toad Hall Nursery is set in two acres of beautiful farmland, we provide children with a safe, natural, and stimulating environment where they can thrive through play and exploration.

Our aim is simple: to deliver high-quality childcare and early years learning experiences, while retaining the warm, personal service and friendly atmosphere that makes us unique.

At Toad Hall Nursery, we set exceptionally high standards for our staff, ensuring they are are trained and working to the recommended Ofsted staff-to-child ratios:

Under 2s: 1:3

Over 2s: 1:5

Over 3s: 1:8

This commitment allows us to provide children with the very best care and learning opportunities, while giving parents complete peace of mind.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• • Have a full and relevant level 2 qualification in Childcare.

  • Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.

  • Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Display a caring and nurturing attitude towards the children in your care

  Role responsibilities include:

  • Act as designated key person for an allocated number of children.

  • To observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.

  • Develop positive partnership with parents.

Requirements;

• A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Hours;

• Toad Hall Nursery is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 42.5 hours per week

• Chiropractor treatment 4 times a year for free
• free lunch if wanted
• Provide a jumper and t-shirts and coat
