Nursery Room Leader

We are looking for a Room Leader to join the team at this lovely nursery in Hornchurch, East London.

This is a brilliant opportunity for any Early Years Practitioner or Deputy Room Leader looking to further their career and step up into a new position within a wonderful and vibrant setting.

As a Room Leader, you will be working full time (40 hours per week, worked in shifts between 7am and 7pm), and your main responsibilities will include:

• Being the main contact for the designated nursery room, working with a team to ensure smooth operation of the room and providing a safe environment
• Planning, preparing and leading activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Working closely with key children, observing and monitoring their individual development
• Conducting staff one-to-one meetings and appraisals
• Supporting Nursery Practitioners and students in the implementation and evaluation of children's planning and progress
• Communicating regularly with parents/carers
• Attending staff training, meetings, parents evenings and open days as and when required
• Working closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to set out cleaning rotas

This is a permanent Room Leader role with a salary of £27,040-£30,040 per annum. Level 3/equivalent or higher qualification in Early Years or Childcare is required and recent experience working within a childcare or early years setting is essential. Experience supervising staff and students is desirable but not essential.
