Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Tideford Montessori Nursery

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Tideford Montessori School at their Saltash setting as a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice. 

Tideford Montessori Nursery accepts Children aged from 0 years 6 months to 5 years 0 months

With a small and consistent team of staff who all show a passion for their work and genuine care for the children, we pride ourselves on our family atmosphere and friendly staff. We provide a happy, educational and above all nurturing environment for young children during the first, most delicate years of their lives.

As a Montessori nursery, we believe we offer children a great start in life. The Montessori Method is based on years of observations and research by Dr Maria Montessori (1870-1952). She believed children learn through movement and through their senses. Our role as adults is to offer children a wealth of opportunities and experiences from which to teach themselves through manipulation, exploration and imitation. The Montessori environment is a stimulating, yet structured environment in which children are nurtured and encouraged to develop their own individual aptitudes whilst giving them the skills to prepare them for school and beyond

Your duties and Responsibilities will include;

• Working as part of a team, supporting the children, and taking care of all their needs including all aspects of personal care
• The successful candidate will be a key person for a small number of children.
• Planning and implementing the day’s activities.
• Responsible for children’s next steps, safeguarding requirements liaise with parents and providing feedback with them on daily basis.
• Undertaking regular observations
• Must have a good understanding of the EYFS

Requirements:-

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is required
• Experience or an understanding of the Montessori ethos is desirable.
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent 
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS

Hours;

• Tideford Montessori School are open from 08:00am to 18:00pm Monday to Friday
• Working hours will be 25-30 hours per week
