Early Years Room Leader 

Location: Shooting Stars Nursery, Hinckley, LE10 1AD
Salary: £14.60 per hour | £30,368 per annum
Contract: Full‑time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:30am–6:00pm | All year round | Closed on bank holidays

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a confident and enthusiastic early years professional who leads with warmth, positivity and a commitment to exceptional childcare.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Early Years qualification
  • Experience working in a children’s day nursery
  • Previous Room Leader or Team Leader experience
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and SEND
  • Ability to build warm, supportive relationships with children and families
  • A genuine passion for providing high‑quality, child‑led care

Your Role

As our Room Leader, you will:

  • Lead the room and inspire your team to deliver exceptional early years education
  • Act as a Key Person and maintain strong parent partnerships
  • Plan engaging, age‑appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS
  • Ensure the room consistently meets all EYFS and safeguarding standards
  • Create a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Support, mentor and develop practitioners within the team
