Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship  – The Meadows - Cheeky Chimps Childcare

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at The Meadows - Cheeky Chimps Childcare.

The Meadows nursery is based in Stratton, Swindon, at Kingsdown Sports Centre and has been established since 2014. 

Over the years we have built a home from home environment to enable the children to feel comfortable and safe to explore and learn through play. 

The Owners Gemma and Anthony realised with their 4 children how difficult it was to find childcare for their children which can work around their working hours without costing the earth! 

The nursery was setup in 2014 to offer children and their families the opportunity to pick their children’s hours to work around their family needs. 

The setting has 3 rooms and care for children between the ages of 0 - 12 years.

Your responsibilities: Your main roles and responsibilities would be to

• ensure the safety and care of all the children under your care
• following the nursery policies and using best practice routines
• To work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop, and learn.

Here are some of the duties your role will include:

• Care: We take care very seriously · As a member of a team, you must ensure the children’s care is the priority and raise any concerns to the safeguarding lead
• As a keyworker, you will ensure your individual child’s needs are met. · Speak up against practices that do not support safeguarding or our Core Values. ·
• Be a positive role model. Service: Parent’s will look to you for advice and support · Get to know the families at the setting to create a trusting rapport with parents. · Ensure you and the team maintain professional boundaries.
• Quality: Set and maintain the high standards, be the best you can be for the children and families · Embrace and promote our Standards of Excellence in every part of your role.
• Take pride in your teams planning observation and assessment procedure. · Challenge any behaviours or practices that go against our policies. · Be a key player to ensure the nursery receives excellent outcomes in internal audits and those of external authorities such as Ofsted, and LA Value: We ensure that we provide outstanding value for money ·
• Maintain the setting is clean and welcoming, ensuring the resources are well-kept. · Ensure that children’s observations are detailed, reflective and provide developmentally challenging next steps. ·
•  Ensure we encourage and praise children’s development and achievements.
• Attending staff meeting

Requirements;

• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them (GCSE’s A-C or Equivalent are essential if you would like to do the level 3 Apprenticeship)

Hours;

• The Meadows - Cheeky Chimps Childcare is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 30 - 40 hours per week (Patterns to be discussed)
