Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Exbourne Pre-School, Exbourne

Exbourne Pre-School are a small, friendly preschool located at the Methodist Church School Rooms in the village of Exbourne, along the A3072 nestled in Devon's rural Heartland.

We provide a warm, caring and varied environment in which a child feels secure to explore and express his or her physical, emotional and intellectual and social skills.

Exbourne Pre-School works to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS). This applies to children from the age of two years through to five years, thus enabling us to forge closer links with our neighbouring Primary Schools.

At Exbourne Pre-School safety of the child is paramount.

Whilst we promote safe practises, we also like our children to have fun in our care, and have a big smile when they leave at the end of their session.

Parents are kept very well informed of their children’s development and parental involvement is more than welcomed. Each child has an individual learning journey which is regularly monitored and updated to give a portfolio of pictures, work and achievements that the children have achieved whilst in our care.

Our staff are always available for a chat to discuss any concerns at the end of a session

We have lots of community activities and follow the EYFS framework. We care for children aged between 2 to 4 years.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.
• Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Display a caring and nurturing attitude towards the children in your care

Role responsibilities include:

• Act as designated key person for an allocated number of children.
• To observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
• Develop positive partnership with parents.

Requirements;

• A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential
• Must have own transport as there is no public transport

Hours;

• Exbourne Pre-School is open from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
• The successful candidate will be required to work 24 hours per week
