Pre‑School Room Leader (Level 3 Early Years) – Brand New Nursery

Location: Shooting Stars Nursery, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, WV3 9PE
Salary: £14.60 per hour | £30,368 per annum
Contract: Full‑time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:30am–6:00pm | All year round | Closed on bank holidays

Our brand new Shooting Stars Nursery in Tettenhall is now open and are looking for an experienced and inspiring Pre‑School Room Leader to help shape and lead our pre school.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or existing Room Leader who is passionate about school readiness, EYFS excellence and leading a passionate team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a confident early years professional who can lead by example and create a nurturing, engaging and ambitious pre‑school environment.

Essential Requirements:

• Full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
• Experience working in a children’s day nursery
• Previous experience as a Pre‑School Room Leader, EYFS Room Leader or Senior Practitioner
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, school readiness and SEND support
• Confident with EYFS planning, observations, Key Person responsibilities and safeguarding
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with families and colleagues
• A genuine passion for delivering high‑quality, child‑centred early years education

Your Role as Pre‑School Room Leader

As our Pre‑School Room Leader, you will play a key role in establishing high standards from the outset. You will:

• Lead and inspire the pre‑school team to deliver outstanding EYFS practice
• Support school readiness, independence and early learning foundations
• Act as a Key Person, building strong partnerships with parents and carers
• Plan and deliver purposeful, play‑based learning experiences
• Ensure your room meets all EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations
• Coach, mentor and support practitioners’ professional development
• Create a stimulating, inclusive environment where every child can thrive
