Do you have a genuine passion for leading and nurturing young learners, coupled with proven experience managing a nursery effectively? WMC Training is seeking a dedicated NURSERY PRACTITIONER to join the professional, rewarding, and supportive team at a nursery based in Kent , Edenbridge (TN8 5AL). This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery and maintaining the delivery of high standards of care and education to all children.

The ideal candidate will bring previous experience working with children ,a genuine interest in developing the talent of younger generations, and a strong desire to make a difference in children's lives.

Holding a level 2 in childcare is a must. You will be a collaborative team member, equally capable of taking initiative, and adept at planning enriching activities.

The nursery offers part time and full time opportunities and provide staff with in -house training .

DUTIES

Your duties as NURSERY PRACTITIONER :

· To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members)

· To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life.

· Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.

· To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs.

· To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.

· To advise manager/deputy of any concerns, e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.

· To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, summer fayre, etc

· To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc..

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Ability to write clear objective observations
  • Experience of implementation of EYFS
