Level 5 Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship - The Little Blue Door Chichester 

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join The Little Blue Door Nursery as a Level 5 Childcare Apprentice at their Chichester setting as a Room Leader.

We provide nurturing and high-quality childcare across both nurseries from 3 months to 5 years across 4 x separate rooms, each tailored to the age of the children.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

We are currently hiring for a Leader in our Rocket larks classroom for children aged from 2-3 years old.

We are all dedicated and work hard but like to have fun too! We provide a separate ‘team hub’ for comfortable breaks to be taken in (home cooked food and snacks are provided if available!). There are lots of out of hours activities to join in with including meals out, cold water swimming and spin classes!

  • Support in play, learning and development, attending trips and parents’ evenings, assist in meal times and toileting, nappy changes and preparing snacks.
  • To be successful, you will have a natural affinity with children, be warm, engaging and enthusiastic to make them feel at home.
  • You will also have good communication skills, be reliable, self-motivated and professional.
  • You will have a good understanding of the very best of Early Year’s principles and how to successfully and creatively apply them to provide the very best standard of care. Comprehensive on the job training and support for development is provided.
  • The Room Leader will report and work closely with the Senior Management Team and become part of The Little Blue Door Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be required to have experience and knowledge in providing a nurturing, inclusive and child-led environment for the required age of their room alongside leading and inspiring the team within their room.

Hours;

  • Our opening hours are 7.30am - 6.00pm and our shift pattern is either 7.15am - 4.30pm and 8.00-6.00pm averaging 45 hours per week full time

Requirements;

  • A Level 3 childcare qualification is required
  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Childcare: 1 year (required) Early childhood education: 1 year (required) Leadership: 1 year (required)
