Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Luxulyan Pre-School, (Term Time Only)

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Luxulyan Pre-School, Luxulyan.

Luxulyan Pre-School provide preschool education for children aged 2-5 in a rural village.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• To provide an ambitious curriculum focused on preparing children for their next steps in learning and development.
• To observe and assess children regularly and identify ways that they can progress children further. 
• The support for children with special education needs and/or disabilities.
• To identify gaps in children's learning.
• To engage children in regular story and song times to build their pronunciation of words and vocabulary.
• Be a key worker to a select group of children
• To form good partnerships with parents and staff members so that we can all work together as a small team
• To undertake all aspects of personal care including nappy changing toileting hygiene and helping at mealtimes
• To assist with setting up the room as well as the day's activities
• Update the children’s learning journals – keeping the parents updated on their child’s progress

Requirements;

• A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential 
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent 

Hours;

• The setting is open from 8:00am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 25 hours per week (Patterns to be discussed)
