Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship at Stepping Stones Nursery School.

Stepping Stones Nursery School have 2 rooms - toddlers and pre-school. and care for children between 9 months and 5 years.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Child Development & Learning
  • Promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5
  • Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform planning and support individual needs
  • Safeguarding & Child Welfare
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with statutory guidance
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies
  • Inclusion & Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Support children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to implement tailored support strategies
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusive practices throughout the setting
  • Partnership with Parents & Carers
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families and carers
  • Communicate regularly regarding children’s development, achievements, and well-being
  • Encourage parental involvement in the learning process and setting activities
  • Professional Conduct & Team Collaboration
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and professional environment
  • Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices
  • Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Administrative & Organisational Duties
  • Maintain accurate records, including observations, assessments, and safeguarding documentation
  • Support the day-to-day organisation of the setting, including routines, transitions, and events
  • Uphold all policies, procedures, and standards set by the organisation and regulatory bodies

Requirements;

  • A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential 
  • Previous experience in a managers role
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent
