Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Happy Nursery Days, Lambeth

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Happy Nursery Days, Lambeth.

Happy Nursery Days, a subsidiary of Ekaya Housing Association, is an award winning 43 place neighbourhood nursery catering for babies and pre-school children aged between 3 months and 5 years.

It has been in operation since 6th September 2004; it is designed and developed to provide high standards of childcare in a safe and secure environment, with spacious playrooms and a large eco-friendly garden area which provides ample play areas.

Our fundamental aim is to ensure that your child is happy, relaxed and totally at ease in a safe caring environment, whilst encouraging them to develop young minds and bodies. We are fully committed to promoting positive parental involvement and encourage their feedback and views.

The Setting has 3 rooms - under 2-/ 2-3 / and 3-4.5

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.
• Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Display a caring and nurturing attitude towards the children in your care

Role responsibilities include:

• Act as designated key person for an allocated number of children.
• To observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
• Develop positive partnership with parents.

Requirements;

• A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential 
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Hours;

• Happy Nursery Days is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 32 hours per week over 4 days
