Shoots Training are currently looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Rabbit Patch Day Nursery.

Your duties as an apprentice will include:

  • Promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged 3 months–5years
  • Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform planning and support individual needs
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with statutory guidance
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies
  • Support children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to implement tailored support strategies
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusive practices throughout the setting
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families and carers
  • Communicate regularly regarding children's development, achievements, and well-being
  • Encourage parental involvement in the learning process and setting activities
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and professional environment
  • Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices
  • Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Maintain accurate records, including observations, assessments, and safeguarding documentation
  • Support the day-to-day organisation of the setting, including routines, transitions, and events
  • Uphold all policies, procedures, and standards set by the organisation and regulatory bodies

Hours;

  • Rabbit Patch Day Nursery is open from 7:30am until 18:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed

Requirements;

  • Level 2 childcare qualification is essential when applying for this role
  • You ideally will have GCSE Grades A*-C/4-9 in English Language and maths, or equivalent
  • First Aid qualification would be desirable
  • To be able to obtain a clear DBS
  • Being able to travel or avoiding public transport, due to the rural location of the nursery
