Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring that each child receives the best possible start in life.
- Lead, motivate, and support a dedicated team of nursery staff;
- Foster a positive, collaborative working environment where every team member feels valued and supported;
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff training to maintain a high-quality workforce;
- Oversee staff performance, conduct regular supervisions, and provide ongoing development opportunities;
- Ensure effective communication within the team, encouraging feedback, ideas, and a team-oriented culture;
- Ensure the nursery provides a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children;
- Oversee the planning and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the individual needs of each child;
- Monitor and support children’s development, tracking progress and addressing any areas of concern;
- Promote the wellbeing, safety, and emotional development of the children;
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and policies to protect the children at all times;
- Oversee the nursery’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and managing costs effectively;
- Manage daily operations, including attendance records, health and safety checks, and compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Ensure the nursery is well-equipped with resources, supplies, and educational materials.

To be successful in your application, you will need:
- A suitable Level 3 childcare qualification, recognised by the Department for Education.
- A good understanding of the EYFS
- Excellent understanding of the English language, spoken and written
- A good understanding of safeguarding practices
- Previous childcare experience in an early year setting
- Cleared DBS check
- The ability to extend children’s learning, through high quality experiences and activities
- Ability to manage a group of key children
- Good communication skills with both adult and children
- Be committed to reflective practice and self-development
