The Big Top Nursery based in Waddesdon is looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years qualified experience to join us as a Deputy Room Leader. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-quality care and education to young children. Working within our 21 space baby room with children aged 3 months-2 years, your role would be to work alongside and support the room leader, as well as to supervise and support staff members in the room leaders absence.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing daily feedback.
- Be a role model to the staff team.
- Carry out various duties as part of the deputy room leader role
-Work alongisde and support the room leader
- Supervise and support team members in the room leaders absence
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years qualified experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Full and relevant level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to drive positive outcomes for children through innovative teaching methods.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation.

Hours:
Full Time- Monday-Friday with alternating weekly shifts of 7:30am-4:30pm and 9:00am-6:00pm.
Due to the location of the setting, and the infrequency of public transport, you will need to have access to a car to enable you to commit to the hours advertised.
