Located near Brooklands Business Park, Cherrylands Nursery boasts excellent public transport links and a spacious car park, ensuring that our nursery is convenient and easily accessible for commuters. Our intimate setting, surrounded by beautiful rural landscapes, allows children to connect with nature and enjoy a range of outdoor activities.

We feature a large outdoor play area complete with a climbing frame, as well as a dedicated baby garden. These spaces provide children with safe, stimulating opportunities to explore, engage, and play, supporting their physical, social, and emotional development.

We are currently seeking a Nursery Room Leader  to join our expanding team. This full-time role offers 42.5 hours per week, with varying shift patterns between 8am and 6pm. Our nursery operates year-round and is not a term-time only position. To apply, you’ll need a full, relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. The salary for this position is £31,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.

As Room Leader, you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
• Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality.
• Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency.
• Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
• Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always.
• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
