Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Fairfield Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Fairfield Day Nursery as a Nursery Practitioner 

We are a 60 place Day Nursery based within the premises of Buttercup Children's Centre in Worcester. Our philosophy is to provide a healthy, safe and secure environment where individual needs of the children are met. All children, parents and practitioners develop positive and nurturing relationships within the setting. Our welcoming environment reflects our ability to provide a caring and stimulating space where children are able to enjoy learning through play can grow in confidence and develop to their full potential.

We provide well planned experiences based on children's spontaneous play, both indoors and outdoors, it is an important way in which we as practitioners support young children to learn with enjoyment and challenge.

We use Early Years Foundation Stage to support our work with all children and their families, working with a range of other professionals. Children's individual needs are met and challenged through observations, planning and assessment.

We have 4 rooms and a large ourdoor area, with children from the age of 6 months to 5 years which is attached to a children’s centre

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Support the senior members of the team in providing a safe and stimulating childcare
• Must be passionate about working with children from 6 months to age 5, and to providing high-quality care.
• You will be hands on with mealtimes and the personal care of the children in your care.
• Support the children with play and their education.
• Assist with planning and implementing the daily activities.
• Keep the parents updated with the children’s progress, along with updating the children’s learning journals regularly.

Requirements;

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is required
• Experience in a similar role and experience of working with children from 6 months to 5 years
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent 

Hours;

• Fairfield Day Nursery is open from 07.00am - 18:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 25 – 37.5 hours per week and shift patterns will be discussed
