Talent  Acquisition Team Leader

Location: Dorset Area (able to travel to the hub a few times per month)

Job type: Permanent

Salary: Annual £33,800

Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week (8.30am-5pm)

About the Role

To build excellent relationships with people and managers across the business to drive growth and lead a team of recruitment professionals. The role requires a strong ability to identify opportunities and build relationships and lead the team in achieving vacancies filled and revenues target as well as supporting with our ambitious expansion plans.

This role involves working with the management teams and across the full BD team including Sales, Marketing and Recruitment to support positive outcomes for the BD function by supporting the department and leading the organisations apprenticeship recruitment team. 

What does the role involve?

  • Typical tasks will include leading, mentoring and coaching a team of recruitment professionals. Helping to develop business growth strategies and support our expansion plans. Monitor performance of our team of recruiters through reports and CRM tools.
  • Managing your own case load of vacancies through varying means of communication but not limited tom phone calls, Emails and text messages.
  • Monitoring Market trends and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Responsible for managing the Shoots Apprenticeship recruitment team and managing their own case load of apprenticeship vacancies.
  • This role reports to the Director of Business Development.
  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned by the manager

  • Maintain professionalism and always handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong Administration skills – including Microsoft Office, excel, word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage a varied programme of work, manage expectations and conflicting priorities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work to a deadline proactively
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Complete mandatory and desirable training relevant to your role, as well as being prepared to undertake CPD Continuous Professional Development as appropriate
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Proven experience in recruitment is essential. Experience in apprenticeship recruitment is desirable.
