Deputy Nursery Manager Opportunity at the Outstanding Pelican Place Nursery.

Salary: £29,120 per annum 

40 hours per week

This is your chance to be a part of continuing the drive for greatness and exceptional standards every day for our children, families and team! This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or a highly skilled Room Leader/Third in Charge looking to step up into a leadership role. As Deputy Manager, you’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations, maintain high-quality activities, and ensure outstanding care for our children. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and a strong passion for making a positive impact every day.

*This bonus will be paid after just 6 months of service and is based on a 40 hour week, making it the perfect time to join our team and be recognised for your qualification and contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
  • Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
  • Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Leadership experience - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable.
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
