Nursery Lunch Cover

Salary £10 - £12.21 per hour 

20 hours per week, 11am - 3pm Monday - Friday 

Please note this is not a term time only role

Potters Bar Day Nursery is an Ofsted-rated Good nursery, centrally located in the heart of the High Street. Situated near Potters Bar Mainline Station and Barnet Hill Tube Station, the nursery is easily accessible via public transport, with convenient links to the M25, M1, and A1. The setting also offers both On-Site and Off-Road Parking for added convenience.

Our nursery features spacious, light-filled rooms and a large, fully resourced garden, providing abundant opportunities for outdoor play and learning. This vibrant space encourages children to engage in both imaginative and real-world play, fostering their growth and development.

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual for a part-time role, to join as a Nursery Lunch Cover. This part time position offers 20 hours per week from 11am - 3pm. For the right candidate, we are open to discussing alternative hours. A full, relevant Level 3 childcare qualification is required. Please note that this is a year-round position, as the nursery operates throughout the year and is not term-time only.

This bonus will be paid after just 6 months of service, making it the perfect time to join our team and be recognised for your qualifciation and contributions. This bonus is based on a 40-hour week.

Main responsibilities as Nursery Lunch Time Assistant include:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Lunch Time Assistant:

  • Full and Relevant Level 2 / Level 3 Childcare Qualification - desirable
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
