Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Tideford Montessori Nursery

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Tideford Montessori School at their Saltash setting as a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice. 

Tideford Montessori Nursery opened in 2007. It is privately owned and managed. It operates from the chapel hall in Tideford village. The nursery has use of the main hall, a smaller room immediately adjacent to themain hall, kitchen and toilet facilities.

In addition, children have access an enclosed outside area. The nursery is registered on the Early Years Register and on both the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register. A maximum of 28 children may attend the nursery at any one time; of these, no more than 6 may be aged under two years at any one time.

The nursery provides support for children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The nursery follows the Montessori principles of education.

The nursery provides a warm and welcoming environment where children enjoy themselves. Children are very confident, quickly settle and become fully engaged in their chosen activities

Your duties and Responsibilities will include;

• To be caring, approachable and enthusiastic.
• Must also be dynamic, able to use their initiative and work well in a team.
• Must have a strong work ethos, be flexible and have a positive outlook.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Working with children aged 0 to 5, following care routines, planning, and carrying out activities in line with the Montessori Curriculum and the EYFS, record-keeping, report writing, liaison with parents and general housekeeping duties.
• Effectively plan and provide activities to help develop and encourage children's learning. The good relationships established with parents ensure individual needs are well known and all children are fully supported.

Requirements:-

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is required
• Experience working with babies is essential
• Excellent understanding and implementation of the EYFS is essential.
• Experience or an understanding of the Montessori ethos is desirable.
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent 
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS

Hours;

• Tideford Montessori School are open from 08.00am to 18.00pm Monday to Friday
• Working hours will be 30 hours per week between the hours of 08.00 and 17.30pm
