Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Blue Penguin Montessori
Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Blue Penguin Montessori at their Bournemouth setting as a Level 3 Apprentice. A passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team.
Located close to Alum Chine beach, Blue Penguin is a small independent Montessori school.
We offer a homely environment to allow the children to become independent and achieve their full potential.
Our nursery includes bright and spacious classrooms and a safe kitchen area for the children to cook.
We have an attractive garden where the children enjoy daily outdoor activities including imaginative play in a well equipped wooden house, large sand pit, water play, nature study and gardening.
In addition the children have the benefit of safely supervised walks down to Alum Chine
Your duties and Responsibilities will include;
- You will be responsible for providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow
- You will play a key role in promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to support children's learning and development
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where children can explore, play, and interact with their peers
- Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas for improvement or additional support
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and other professionals
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children in your care
Requirements:-
- Minimum of a level 2 childcare qualification is required
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
Hours;
- Blue Penguin Montessori are open from 07.45am to 17.45pm Monday to Friday
- Working hours will be 25 to 40 hours per week and shift patterns will be discussed
