Nursery: Bright Horizons Columbus Courtyard Day Nursery and Preschool, 13 Columbus Courtyard, Canary Wharf, London, E14 4DA
Hours: Full time - 40 hours, Monday - Friday
Salary: Starting from £31,275.97 per annum (dependent on qualification(s) and or experience.
Location: Canary Wharf, E14 4DA

We are looking for a full time, QTS, or EYTS, qualified Teacher to join our Bright Horizons Columbus Courtyard Nursery situated in Canary Wharf, E14 4DA. The nursery is situated close to West Ferry DLR stations, making it easily accessible for commuting staff.

Our nursery is located in the culturally diverse area of Canary Wharf. We proudly support families from multiple nationalities and strive to tailor our recruitment efforts to reflect and support this diversity. We also go on trips to expand childrens cultural capital.

In addition to this, our lovely nursery f
eatures five bright, spacious rooms dedicated to different age groups, including a baby room, toddler rooms, and pre-school rooms. There are also two indoor garden rooms and a calming sensory room.

 


The nursery offers a well-rounded curriculum designed by Early Years specialists. Activities include Boogie Mites music sessions, Cooking Club, and Theatrebugs drama, music, and dance sessions to promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan and develop rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, that helps all children to develop, and meets their individual needs

  • Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, through supporting the delivery of the key person approach

  • Ensure the environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas

  • Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships

  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding

  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we’re looking for

  • Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification - essential

  • Previous experience working within the Early Years sector

  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child

  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents

  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
