Salary: starting from £28,274.40 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours: Full time, 40 hours, Monday - Friday

Location: West Dulwich, London, SE27 9RB
 

We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified practitioner to join our Bright Horizons West Dulwich Nursery, situated in West Dulwich, London. The nursery has good links to public transport, with Gipsy Hill Station just 5 minutes walk away, along with free off-street parking and a designated buggy park for convenient drop-offs and pick-ups.

Our lovely nursery is set in a grand and beautiful church building with a fantastic large garden. The nursery includes spacious rooms, and a dedicated sports coach to help develop children's physical strength, coordination, balance, and teamwork.

At the nursery, children enjoy a wide range of activities, including Boogie Mites, which offers exciting opportunities to learn about the world through music and song. They also provide freshly prepared meals, and children are encouraged to serve themselves and use a knife and fork.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
• Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
• Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
• Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
   

What we’re looking for

• Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
