We are lookng for an Early Years Practitioner who can be responsible for providing high-quality care and education for children aged 18mths-5 years. They will support children's learning and development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare & Development:
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through structured and free play.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, identifying any additional support needs.
- Encourage children's independence and self-confidence through positive interactions and praise.
- Promote inclusive practices, ensuring that all children feel valued and supported.
Health & Safety:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for children, following safeguarding and health & safety policies.
- Follow procedures for risk assessments and report any concerns to management.
- Administer first aid when necessary and record incidents accurately.
Partnership with Parents & Colleagues:
- Build strong relationships with parents/carers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to support children’s needs.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to team planning.
General Duties:
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Essential: Fluent English Language both spoken and written.
40 Days Holiday Per Year - Taken during School closures - August and Christmas plus one week for Easter.
Shifts - 8am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5pm.
Time for planning and Observations each week away from children.
