Deputy Room Leader

Are you a Qualified Early Years Practitioner looking to take the next step in your career then we may have the position for you!
The Big Top Nursery based in Waddesdon is looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years qualified experience to join us as a Deputy Room Leader.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-quality care and education to young children.

Duties:

• Supporting the Room Leader with the day to day running of the room.
• Supervise and support staff members in the Room Leaders Absence. 
• Part take in planning and be involved in the delivery of the development matters framework alongside our personalised curriculum.
• Be a key person to a small group of children. 
• To assist the Room Leader in liaising with outside agencies
• Carry out showrounds to prospective parents.
• Able to work independently and use own initiative, as well as working well within the team. 
• To be able to delegate tasks in the absence of the Room Leader. 

Experience: 

• Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, held for a minimum of 2 years.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to drive positive outcomes for children through innovative teaching methods.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation.

This role is full time working 40 hours a week Monday-Friday working alternating weekly shifts of 7:30am-4:30pm and 9:00am-6:00pm.
