Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship -  Bishops Waltham Montessori  (Term Time Only)

The Aspire Training Team are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual as an apprentice to complete their Level 3 Childcare qualification with Bishops Waltham Montessori

To the right of the building is an enclosed park which the children have the opportunity to visit daily with swings and slides and a large grassed area for running and playing.

An area where many varied life skills are introduced such as pouring drinks, laying a table, learning to do up zips and bows, caring for plants and developing good manners. All of these skills can be used in everyday situations and increase a child’s independence, self-esteem and confidence, helping them to become a self-reliant member of the community.

Within the school the child has the opportunity to expand his/her language acquisition through songs, discussions, rhymes, stories, books and everyday communication skills as well as learning the sounds and shapes of the individual letters.

Children are able to develop and refine their physical skills through practical life activities which support hand eye coordination, concentration and a pincer grip. Children have free flow access to the outdoors which allow the children to develop greater control of their gross motor movements. Children play, learn and grow in our ever changing outdoor facilities which include large construction, bikes, sand and water, planting and growing, large mark making, group games and climbing activities.

Looking for a young dynamic individual to bring fresh ideas along with a little experience who will learn and develop into the role of working in a Montessori setting

Your duties and responsibilities will include: 

• Assist with planning the day’s activities
• All aspects of personal care undertaken
• Knowledge of the EYFS
• Attend and contribute to parents’ evenings
• Use tapestry, alongside Montessori learning platform
• Float rota every half hour changes to cover different tasks/different rooms and different activities – the day is varied
• Making sure that the classrooms are covered and running smoothly in 2 separate classrooms 
• Preparing the tables for lunch
• Sit and have lunch with the children
• Housekeeping duties
• Afternoons they have dance and sport sessions where external teachers come in – this is an opportunity to replenish the serring and tidy up/basic housekeeping dutes.
• French once a week
• Participate in gardening, cookery

Requirements:

• Some experience in a similar role
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Semi-rural location so being abel to drive would be beneficial
• Having GCSE's A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e functional skills woulde be desirable

Hours; 

• Bishops Waltham Montessori are open from 09.00-15:00 every day but Weds is open until 16.00
• The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week with flexible shift patterns
