Top Bananas - Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship 

The Aspire Training Team are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual as an apprentice to complete their Level 3 Childcare qualification with Top Bananas.

Top Bananas Pre-School opened in 2016 and expanded to a Day Nursery in 2019. It is located within the Life Centre, Moordown.  It is run by highly qualified and experienced practitioners who are enthusiastic about their role. The ethos of the setting is to Play, Learn and Grow together. 

Top Bananas is situated within the Life Centre. It has its own private entrance via Brassey Road, 100 meters along on the left hand side. Enter through the car park and towards the back, where the outside play area can be seen. A secure door entry system is in place to ensure the safety of the children. The Pre-School and Nursery have their own separate entrance and this is clearly visible.

Your duties and responsibilities would include: 

• Generally getting to know the routine of the children and setting
• The successful candidate will be involved in the curiosity approach journey and learn how to support the children
• Cover all aspects of self-care, washing faces and hands, nappy changing, toileting (will receive ongoing and continuous training in particular)
• Safeguarding and hygiene, and helping at snack and meal time
• Be involved in day-to-day operations, planning, observations, setting up activities and using own initiative

Requirements:

• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Having GCSE's A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills are desired
• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this Apprenticeship
• Must have a good knowledge of EYF

Qualities Required;

• Be a good communicator and develop parent partnerships
• Be keen, curious and enthusiastic

Hours; 

• Top Bananas are open from 07:15-17:45 Monday to Friday, all year round
• The successful candidate will be required to work up to 40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
