Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Condicote Plagroup

Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Condicote Playgroup.

We at Condicote Playgroup offer a safe and welcoming environment where children can learn through play, we are registered to provide care for children 24 children between the ages of two years and five years

We are based in Condicote village hall near Stow on the wold.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • To report to and work with the Play Leader
  • To attend staff meetings and committee meetings as requested
  • To fully contribute to creating an effective team
  • To attend relevant training, including keeping up to date in first aid and safeguarding
  • To keep up to date with the latest ideas in childcare through all media available
  • To build positive relationships with parents/carers and develop these in a professional manner to provide good foundations enabling excellent educare of all children in the setting
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times 
  • To have an active input
  • To ensure that the care of the children meets statutory regulations of the EYFS framework
  • To be familiar with and work to the EYFS 
  • To positively promote anti-discrimination and inclusion practice at all times 
  • To help supervise the children, ensuring correct adult to child ratio 
  • To be able to incorporate all children’s needs and abilities throughout the sessions 
  • To promote positive behaviour by acting as a good role model, treating all people with respect and courteousness •
  • To deal with unacceptable behaviour in a fair and calm manner, helping children to work through this at an age appropriate level 
  • To help with the children’s hygiene routines and toileting 
  • To respect individual cultural needs and the wishes of parents 
  • To ensure that the child’s time at Condicote Playgroup is a positive experience 
  • Provide learning through a play environment which stimulates every child at their appropriate level of development 
  • Allowing children the freedom to make their own decisions, risk taking whilst still maintaining a safe environment, with known boundaries

OTHER DUTIES: 

  • To keep the hall clean during the sessions 
  • To ensure that all H&S procedures are carried out and any risks removed and recorded 
  • To welcome visitors 
  • To positively promote parents as partners, encouraging parental involvement

Requirements;

  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent 
  • Must have transport due to the rural location

Hours;

  • The nursery runs all year round and is open from 08.45am - 15:15pm Monday to Friday (Term time only)
  • The successful candidate will be required to work a minimun of 33 hours per week
