Contract: Full time and Part time roles Available

Salary £8.60 - £13.15 dependant on qualification and experience

SEN Experience - desirable however onsite training will be provided.

Level 2 / Level 3 Childcare Qualification - desirable

Ellingham House Day Nursery are seeking a SEN 1:1 Support to join their team to help care for a 3 year old with complex needs. Within this role you will support and promote their individual development and support mealtimes and toileting needs.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Many other duties to ensure the smooth running of the day, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

Requirements and skills:

  • Full and relevant Level 2 / Level 3 childcare qualification - desirable
  • SEN Experience - desirable
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Experience working with SEN children - desirable
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
