Hours: 30 hours per week, Permanent

Working Pattern:

• Tuesday and Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Salary: £17,846.40
Qualification Required: Level 2 Childcare Qualification

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated baby room team. This role involves providing exceptional care and engaging experiences for our youngest learners in a nurturing and calm environment.

Our baby room accommodates up to 6 children daily, with plans to expand to 9 in the future. It features a cosy atmosphere, a sensory and sleep room, and a range of enriching activities designed to support the emotional and developmental needs of our babies.

You'll work closely with our experienced and inspiring room leader, Daisy, who is eager to welcome a new team member to collaborate on her vision of Hygge-inspired spaces – creating calm, neutral, and natural environments both indoors and outdoors.

Nursery Practitioner main duties and responsibilities*:Children's emotional well-being is given unquestionable priority.

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
• Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery and promote these daily in every routine.
• Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
• Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
• Attend regular team meetings to ensure that you remain updated on key priorities, changes, developments and regularly review company policies and procedures.

Requirements and skills:

• Full and relevant Level 2 childcare qualification – essential
• Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
• Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
• Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
