About Daisy Fays Nursery

Why Daisy Fays?

At Daisy Fays, we’re not just a workplace – we are a family. Founded by parents for parents, our journey began with a mission to provide the high-quality childcare we wanted for our own children. Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted childcare provider across Cornwall, offering truly unique settings where children are inspired to explore, learn, and thrive.

As a family-run business, we bring heart, passion, and warmth to every aspect of our nurseries. Our farm-inspired settings and innovative approach make Daisy Fays a magical place for children and a fulfilling workplace for our team.

At Daisy Fays, you’ll be part of a supportive team that values your contributions and empowers you to grow. Whether it’s through professional development opportunities or celebrating success together, we’re here to ensure your journey with us is as rewarding as the care we provide.

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real difference, while being supported every step of the way, Daisy Fays is the place for you.

Our mission is to nurture young minds, encourage curiosity, and build strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Here, nature, creativity, and care come together to create an educational haven.

What can we offer you?

We value our team as much as we value the children in our care. At Daisy Fays, we offer:

  • Pay above National Living Wage, because helping you helps us.
  • Discounted childcare, making it easier to balance work and family life.
  • Financial support for continuous professional development, to invest in your professional growth.

  • Flexible working week, for improved work-life balance.
  • Summer and winter social events, to reward your dedication and commitment.
  • Employee reward scheme, to reward your loyalty on years of service.

Your Role: What will you be doing?

As a Toddler Room Leader, you’ll be at the heart of supporting children at the most curious and active stage of their development. Your role will include:

  • Inspiring and leading your team to provide exceptional care and engaging educational opportunities.
  • Designing and delivering creative, stimulating activities that support each child’s individual development and curiosity.
  • Creating a safe, inviting environment indoors and outdoors, where exploration and learning thrive.
  • Developing strong, trust-based partnerships with parents, carers, and professionals to support the holistic needs of every child.
  • Promoting and ensuring child welfare, safeguarding, and health and safety.
  • Working collaboratively with your team to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment where children, staff, and families flourish.

Requirements: What are we looking for?

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced childcare professional who is ready to make a real impact on the lives of our children. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or Level 3 Early Years educator.
  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its practical application.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, child protection, Early Years legislation, and health and safety.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers.
  • A positive and adaptable attitude, with a natural ability to inspire and motivate those around you.

Please note, due to our sector, all roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid certification. All personnel will be required to subscribe to the DBS Update service once the DBS has been applied for.
