Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Down in the Woods Pre-School - Term Time Only

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Down in the Woods Pre-school.

Down in the Woods pre-school are based in Wimborne and have 2 rooms who can accommodate a maximum of 26 children a day between the ages of  2 years to 5 years

They also have an after school club for a maximum of 12 children which is available during the summer 

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

• To work alongside staff and manager to look after children
• Daily learning working with children 2 to 4 years old
• Assisting with all aspects of personal care and hygiene
• You will be allocated a mentor to guide them through all aspects of caring for the children
• Liasing with parents
• Learning about the curriculum an how children learn
• Support at mealtimes (no hot meals – snack boxes)
• Assist with the activities as part of the training
• Helping setting up the room, put away at the end of the day.

Requirements;

• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent are desired

Hours; 

• Down in the Woods Pre-school are open from 09.00-18:00 Monday to Friday, term time only
• The successful candidate will be required to work between 36 hours per week
