Job Description

Colourbox Montessori School are currently recruiting outstanding qualified Nursery Practitioner's to join our Bury St Edmunds nursery, and people with a passion for Early Years wishing to enrol on a Level 3 Childcare qualification.

We are recruiting for our nursery in Risby, 'Colourbox @ Cherry Trees' which currently cares for children from 2 years old to 5 years old in line with our Montesori ethos. We are excited to announce we will be opening a new baby room from April and welcome any applicants wishing to work with babies from 3 months old. 

You will be working as part of a highly professional, established and locally respected team. Our opening hours are 7.30am to 5.30pm and we offer staff a 4 day working week (compressed hours). Staff parking is available on site and we encourage you to undertake our in-house Montessori training which is fully funded. 

This role is a full-time position with the opportunity for continuous professional development, additional training and promotion. Your main duties will be nurturing and caring for the development of children from 3 months to 5 years old.  If you love working with children, or see yourself in a role that allows you to be creative and share your skills with others, this could be the place for you.

Duties:

  • Having a key group of children, observing, and recording their development.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Building positive and successful relationships with colleagues, children, and parents.

Requirements of the role:

  • Living and working in the UK with full rights to do so.
  • A Full and Relevant Level 3+ Childcare qualification desirable or willing to take on one.
  • An enhanced DBS check (we will apply for this).
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding and EYFS.
  • First aid, Basic food hygiene and safeguard training desirable, but training is provided.
  • Previous experience in early years desirable, but not essential.
